Aimee and Rob
Our daughter Alice was not breathing, and without a heartbeat when she was born. She was miraculously resuscitated, and for three days following her birth she endured extensive testing that showed serious brain damage. The doctors gave Alice little hope to perform the most basic functions. But our fighter fought back, and on day four she started making sounds and feeding normally. Alice is now over a year old. She still has challenges, such as weight gain, delayed motor skills, tone issues, and reflux. But considering where we could have been, we are so happy with her progress! Our CJ Fund grant went towards a supportive chair for feeding and practice reaching. We are able to use this chair in our house, as well as out at restaurants. We can’t thank you enough!
